In my conversations with some of Denmark’s best business leaders and entrepreneurs, one thing keeps coming up: many of them have struggled with something. A difficult childhood, anxiety, ADHD, autism, OCD, dyslexia or other learning difficulties. And they’ve turned it to their advantage.
I’m in the ADHD club myself, the hyperactive kind to be precise. I went to a special needs school, I have no school-leaving exams, and I’m still bouncing off the walls.
But I have endless energy, and I’m driven by my passion and my mission. I want to build an outstanding marketing agency that challenges the status quo, gives clients a superb experience and brings transparency to a world that feels abstract and distant to a lot of people.
Jan Dal Lehrmann put it like this on my podcast: you have to be wired a little differently, and you shouldn’t follow the well-trodden path like everyone else. For some of us, there is no well-trodden path to follow.
